Internal SOAP Processing Failure

I have been facing a strange and new error which was thrown by Biztalk 2004 in the event viewr (The Messaging Engine failed to register the adapter for SOAP for the receive location ...asmx) , and thanks to Edmund's blog who had solved this problem push me, just wanna say that am glad that i faced this error cause it introuduced me to Edmund's blog which i found a very rich blog

Configuring Biztalk on Windows XP SP2

Well, i have been working with this problem for about one day now :( , the problem so far that each time i try to configure Biztalk 2004 on Windows XP OS with SP2 , i got lots of error when it reaches the part where it configures the Enterprise Single Sign on , it throws errors lists below :-
-One Time it throws failed to generate the master secret(error code 8009000f)
- After Rolling Back it throws another error The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion
- another time it throws unexpected error occurred while configuring the single-sign on server
i followed what the articels disccused about Enable the RPC calling ,
click here but i got nothing after that and after i got a clue from redaing this page push me
I figured out the problem First you have to Enable the RPC Call as microsoft support recommends,

Then SSO needs to run under an account that has
1-Password
2-not a system account
3- Member of Administrator Group

and though the problem was solved and Biztalk was configured properly

Src keywords Magic

One of my collegues fall in a problem was that we have a running application and people are working on it , downtime causes money deduction , and he had to launch something inorder for his code to work , and here is the new knowldge we gained from one of our expertiese in the company

The Src keyward , i myself call it the magic keyword, this Src keyword forces you page not to be precomplied with the dll of the project , instead it will complie that page only when it is called and so if you have any problem with the page code behind , simply to have to upload the .aspx file(containnig the src keyword ) and the .cs or .vb file where you have modified you code.

Setting up Orchesteration as web services in Windows XP

When you install BizTalk on Windows XP and after configuring biztalk host as trusetd and the isolated host as untrusted succefully.
You create an orchesteration and publish it as a web service and you call it from a page you find that you get Access denied 401 and no instance found in the HAT

This took me half a working day to work , the solution for this is to let the web service run under the authority of the ASP.Net account of the local machine and let IIS control the Password for this user,since in XP OS the HWS Pool is not created by default

SQL Adaptor Bug

You may receive this error in the event viwer while you update or insert or even delete a stored procedure or a table (updategram)while using a sql adaptor with biztalk server
?MSSQLError HResult="0x80040e07" Source="Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server" Description="Error converting data type nvarchar to datetime."?>

My Recommendation is to check you regional setting , this costed me over 4 hours checking this error , also check your casting to and from sql server for datetime value.
Be Ware that this is not a well formatted error as you might not be using nvarchar at all in your stored procedure or even the paramters you are sending to sqlserver througth biztalk

How BizTalk Works With SQL Server

In this blog i will talk on how to make BizTalk deal with sqlserver stored procedures ,in my next blog i will show how to insert records in the database using generated items and schemas .

The story starts as well when you want to get some information from sql server or insert some records in tables in your orchesteration to sql server

Open BizTalk solution and right click add generated item ,

choose SQL, in the down pane , write the name of the server you want to connect to and name of the database you are dealing with

Press Next , then press the Set Button and connect to the server and the database and don't forget to save password .

in the Advanced Tab , set the time to 90 as it tells how much it will wait for the connection string to connect to sqlserver , in case the server was down.

A very important note is to write your stored procedures paramter in ascending order , this is seems to be weard
but this is a fact BizTalk wants the paramter in the same order Alphabtically ascending , it took me alot of time to debug a map that send paramters to a stored procedure cause biztalk send the paramter to the stored procedure in ascending order (as we will see), when i reorder my paramters it worked great ,
i passed a real value to the stored procedure so as when it generates data it gets back with at least one raw,
and also a very important note here is first while you create wizard you have to write at the end of the stored procedure [for xml,xmldata]for xmldata is used to retreive the schema from stored procedure , but make sure that you comment the [,xmldata ] after you finish the wizard and leave the for xml raw part ,This is a very important note

don't forget to save the target namespace and the name of the response root and request root in a notepad file , as you will you use it again when you bind the port

After the wizards finshs it opens an empty BizTalk orchesteraion and generates a SQLService.xsd Schema file, that's the schema file of the storedProcedure , open the multipart messages and you will find two multipart messages , I recommend that you rename this newly created schema file to a discribtive name , and then copy the 2 multipart message in the multipart section of your orchesteration
Note: when you renamed the schema file for the two multipart message they will be undefind for The orchesteration so you have to go to the properites of each message and point to newly renamed schema file

Then you can safely delete the BizTalk Orchestration.odx file he created for you

The Wizard had generated 2 mulipart message cause when i talks to the store procedure it send paramters [Request] and receives data [Response] , so you have to create two message one to send to stored procedure [Request message] and one to receive from the Store Procedure [Response message]
Create 2 message variables in your orchesteration on from the Recevive Request schema and the other for the Response Schema ,those two message will be used to pass paramter to a port[which will send paramters to sqlserver],and the other will recevies a response from sql server
now that you go and download the example attached to this blogg ,BiztalkToSQL Example
what i have created is a recevie port to reacive a general schema, then i used a map to pass the @supplierId to the SQLStored Procdeure where it expects a @SupplierID , the map is between the general schema and the Request of the Generated sqlservice.xsd[the one generated from the Wizard], then i send a the Response Message i created before from the multipart message[Response Message]to receive a response from sql server with the data i asked for from the storedprocedure, send the message to the a send port and bind it , to see the data retreived from sqlstored procedure

after you study the orchesteration attached to this blog , you have to bind the logical port to physical ports, one port to receive the general schema and the other to send a response retreived from sqlserver, the most important port is the port that will talk to the stored procedure .
Create a send port with a static solicit response-port,

those properties you added is those you saved in notepad before see how much they were important.
Every thing else goes simply as you create the port and bind the port and run the sample
Hope that this blogg is clear enough and helpufull for those who deals with stored procedures.
